6/6/2019; Week 7: Response to "Culture and Psychology".
This subject is really very interesting; I realized that I was suffering from this, when Professor Ivers asked the question of the child who had the accident and the father died, Wao, for me it was a shock to realize this cultural anchorage that I possess. It is impressive how the perception we have of ourselves can be affected by our culture or vice versa, and it is like prejudices or stereotypes that we have tattooed on our DNA. I was very amused by the history of the iguana, but within history, there is a very important teaching and that is how people are perceived depending on their culture. Hearing about this subject, I started to investigate and I decided to try to change in order to break that cultural predisposition.
